GCN Updates on Current Projects!

SO THAT YOU DON’T HAVE TO ASK WHAT I AM UP TO THESE DAYS, HERE IS A BRIEF UPDATE:
Thanks so much for contacting me. Whilst you are waiting for me to respond I would like to share some news update with you . Many great things keep happening in my journey to set up a global networking for girls’ networks in Africa.  The support base is growing and each individual who comes to be part of our work gives something unique which I cherish. In life you must come to a stage where after much hard work you think about the best that you can do and then do it. In spite of everyday challenges we must continue everyday. I am an optimist and think everything that I am passionate about will work out – it may take a long time but at the end something will come of it. And so I keep going.

MY BOOK, A WOMAN ONCE A GIRL –BREAKING SILENCE IS NOW AVAILABLE ON THE WEB
I am glad to inform you that after the launch of my book in London on 8 March 2012 was a success. The feedback has been overwhelming! Thank you for your support always.
I am happy to announce that my book is already available through Barnes & Noble, Amazon and Google.  A copy can be purchased online for only £1.50. I really want to share the story of girls I support and by buying this book you have supported me and girls. Your support contributes to a global movement to change status for girls. The loss of girls lives in Africa is what worries me most. I witnessed it with my eyes and the only way I can help is to share their story and I need your help to do so. Please follow these links to buy the book and after reading it be kind enough to post your review.

ON THE UP BOOK LAUNCH – WE ARE FEATURED  TOGETHER WITH TOP AFRICAN CHANGEMAKERS
On another note our story was included in yet another amazing book launched in London called On The Up. It features stories of entrepreneurs in Africa who are trying to do the impossible. Nikki and Rob Wilson travelled throughout Africa documenting innovative projects by social entrepreneurs. They included Girl Child Network in  Zimbabwe and visited one of our Girls’ Empowerment Villages. They were so moved by the hard work and passion that they saw in Africa. SUPPORT GIRLS EMPOWERMENT FUND
My work to set up a Girls Empowerment Fund continues and I invite you to donate  £1-£10 per year to help me continue my work. Please encourage your family and friends to do so as well. The link is below. Just last week a girl from Zimbabwe sent me an email to say that she obtained 15 points in her exams at A level. This is after she had suffered two years out of school. As long as girls need me I will work hard to help them. Please support by donating to our Girls Empowerment Fund as we still have critical work to accomplish in Zimbabwe, Sierra Leone, and Uganda. I receive many urgent appeals daily so your continued support is desperately needed.  http://www.girlchildnetworkworldwide.org/donate/
